31 phone calls were made to inform all the performers about the event changes and scheduled rehearsal for tomorrow. This is the second and last rehearsal before the concert.

Due to the change of date, we're very sorry that some performers could not make it due to their prior engagements. We would like to thank them for all their efforts put in for the event and we hope to work with them together.

*** 29 May 2008 *** Meeting with EZ50

Rushed to a meeting with EZ50 owner Mr Kwan and General Manager Kalis. Both of them listened patiently while we rushed and stumbled thru our short presentation. We're like kids trying to ask parents for a new toy. As veterans in the club business, they point out a few concerns but readily offer us their premises. EZ50 is a 'LIVE' house...

Sing for Sichuan Earthquake Charity Concert

***Updated 26 May 2008***
Sichuan, China was hit with the worst earthquake at a powerful 8.0 magnitude on May 12th 2008 in the past three decades.

This event is initiated by Surin who hope to do something to help the victim of Sichuan earthquake. Surin rope in her friends, colleague and all possible contacts on this meaningful initiative.

Resonance Audio bosses - Mr Bryant Hwang and Mr Leonard Fong are very kind to lend their facility for rehearsal and photo-taking.

To kick start the event our first meeting was held on 16th May involving Surin, Steven, Sherry, Jerlynn, Weishien and James. We forsee a lot of difficulties along the way. We started calling organisations and contacts that we feel that they could help. The quest went on Surin, Edwin, Steven and Sherry went on a island-wide search for the perfect venue.

The path to get approval by an non profitable organisation, venue and sponsor is not an easy task. (in Singapore context) There are tons of rules and regulations we need to take note of. Ideas were shattered, criticised and rejected but our determination remind strong.

Our fund-raising principle is ALL ticket proceeds MUST go to charity. We will ensure that all the money we raised will be handled directly by an authorised beneficiary. (https://www.charities.gov.sg) There MUST be absolute transparency.

With Averil efforts she has gathered full support from a group of young people who are passionate about singing and doing something meaningful. They have agreed to perform for free (no allowances are given)
Despite their busy schedules, 17 music enthusiasts have come together on 25th May for a audition, photoshoot and discussion.

We got the assistance from Btingyap who help us with the photoshoot. 2 bubbly gers Yanxi and Yueting to help with the audio recording while SRMC student Guan Bin with the videography. Wang Chuang (on the keyboard) helped everyone with their acoustic segment.

We have completed the 1st milestone of the project. More warm-hearted individuals are joining us on this meaningful journey. We are working very hard to get this going.

Let's gather for a common cause. 'SING FOR LOVE" Sing to raise funds for the Sichuan's earthquake victims.
We sincerely hope that you would give us your support by attending the event.

Give us your greatest support! Come to our charity concert. Be a part of this meaningful cause.

Sing For Love! We sing to raise funds for the people who were affected by this natural disaster and hope for your generous donations to the earthquake relief.
